Japan was geweldig!!
Our tour guide Alan was beyond fantastic! For a first time traveller, and to a country so far from home, I was extremely nervous about this new experience. However I had such a wonderful and immersive time in Japan. Not once feeling lost or concerned, Alan was extremely helpful with every member of our quite large group and catered too all of our needs; with the mindset of still trying to give us the best experience. We explored many sights up and down Japan on a day to day basis, never having a dull moment throughout the course of the trip. With Alan’s wealth of knowledge and genuine passion about Japan, it truly made the adventure memorable and interesting. I couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide, thank you so much.
I can’t say enough amazing things about Alan’s guiding skills! He was always super helpful and adaptable to any situation. For instance, while we were scheduled to watch sump wrestlers train, an unexpected special event was happening that barred us from entry. Thinking quickly on his feet, Alan guided us to another fun event that was not included on the tour but was amazing. As a beginning Japanese learner, it was excellent to have a guide who could give me language pointers and help hone my conversation skills. Alan was always willing to give me an alternate route if I couldn’t handle a planned hike or wished to spend more time in another area to meet up with the group later. Because Alan ensured I had a fantastic time, I already booked in a second trip! I look forward to taking another tour with Alan in the future!
Alan is all that you could hope for and more in a tour guide. He is knowledgable in not only the history of Japan but the little things like which restaurants are best value for money and which snacks are best at 7/11 which are the most important thing. He ensured that my time there was incredible and looked after me when I was struggling, he’s a good egg. If you’re going to Japan you need Alan as I can’t even imagine my experience without him, he made my trip there the best two and a half weeks of my life
